I'm a Marketing and Social Media Manager, navigating my way through the media world. I graduated from Boston University with my degree in Journalism and am now pursuing my Masters in Marketing. I currently work for a large hospital in Boston. I am intrigued by social media and the benefit that this medium can bring to every facet of life (for nonprofits, individual career advancement, and corporate relations --to name a few). I have prior experience working in communications at both the US Navy Press Room (CHINFO) at the Pentagon and on Al Gore's Repower America campaign. I believe in collaboration. The evolving social media landscape demands sharing of ideas; only the strongest brands can do this and stand the test of time. I am dedicated to my field, as I know that effective communication is the key to navigating through our modern world.

The beginning...

My senior year in high school, I traveled to the Hashemite Kingdom of Amman, Jordan through a Project Harmony student exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State and the United Palestinian Appeal in Washington D.C.

The Media Efficiency and Democracy In Action (MEDIA) Program was implemented to encourage communication between American adolescents and Palestinian/Jordanian teenagers. "Overcoming Stereotypes" became one of the main themes of the trip, as everyone involved with the program was challenged to rise above religious and cultural differences.

The blog is still entact and can be viewed by going to http://www.projectharmony.org/ and clicking on "Programs." Go to programs in the country of Jordan, click on the MEDIA program, then click on "Program Web Forums," next click on "Media program Vlog," and go to pgs.33-42.
