What's Important about YOUR Health?

Howard Dean's health care reform plan isn't really one. He's just set on having a public option. What Howard Dean does think is necessary is giving the American people a comprehensive plan that is so simple, high school and college kids can understand it. Why make it complex? The world of legislation is already far too jargon-filled.Let's be real: we're talking about our health here. We need our rights stated in plain English. By Catherine Moore, camoore@bu.edu

The beginning...

My senior year in high school, I traveled to the Hashemite Kingdom of Amman, Jordan through a Project Harmony student exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State and the United Palestinian Appeal in Washington D.C.

The Media Efficiency and Democracy In Action (MEDIA) Program was implemented to encourage communication between American adolescents and Palestinian/Jordanian teenagers. "Overcoming Stereotypes" became one of the main themes of the trip, as everyone involved with the program was challenged to rise above religious and cultural differences.
